Sue and I have put a lot of thought into our dog obedience training programs. We have been on both sides of the standard 6-week obedience training sessions (as both dog trainers and pet parents), and agree that 6 weeks is just a bit rushed for puppies and for proofing. Our goal is not to rush dogs through and grant certificates. We aim to teach positive behaviors, teach handling and leadership skills, and then work with you to reinforce those skills. You know … true canine obedience. True reliability. We also want you leave us confident of your own ability to consistently continue training at home.
We believe in training dogs for real world scenarios. You’ll find us training offsite throughout central Missouri in order to expose your dog to different stimuli and diverse conditions. We even created a Proofing class for those dogs who’ve graduated Mastery level, taken their dog out into the real world, and identified areas of need. Canine obedience training is not one-and-done; it’s a lifelong commitment of reinforcement.
As independent trainers, we have a lot of flexibility and do things a little different around here. We keep our focus on the dogs and do our best to set them up for success.
If your goal is building the best dog possible, through obedience and impulse control training, we’re here to help in Mid-Missouri.
